If you’re a ski family you’ve probably noticed the day pass tickets at ski resorts keep getting higher and higher. That’s why I went for the best deal on the slopes for next season- the Ikon base pass.
What’s an Ikon Pass?
An Ikon pass allows you unlimited access to certain resorts around the US and other countries for the upcoming winter season, as well as day passes for like 20 other resorts. They’re only available for purchase in the spring BEFORE ski season starts and are basically a season pass o steroids.
Why I Bought an Ikon Pass for my Whole Family
I live at Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah, which is NOT one of the resorts on the Ikon pass, but instead of buying a season pass for my local resort I bought an Ikon pass. Ikon isnt giving me any compensation for this post at all. I just wanted to share why I splurged for the Ikon.
- It’s a good deal for customers. Yes $649 per adult (base pass, early pricing) is steep but when compared with day price tickets or season pass prices, you’d get your money’s worth after just 5 days of skiing.
- I live in Utah. Not only does the Ikon Base Pass offer unlimited skiing at Solitude resort, I can ski five days at four other Utah resorts as well. That’s 20 days of skiing next season – more than I did this past winter.
- Kids passes come with a discount.
Ikon is not for everyone, but if you live in Utah or Colorado it’s a great deal.
See you on the slopes!
